“Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)” is a song by Marvin Gaye, released as the third and final single from his 1971 landmark album, What’s Going On. Written by Gaye and James Nyx, the song depicted the ghettos of inner-city America as it discussed how the bleak situation would lead to someone wanting to holler and throw ones hands up. The song was recorded in a mellow funk style with Gaye playing piano. Several of the Funk Brothers also contributed, including Eddie “Bongo” Brown, and bassist Bob Babbitt. The song helped Gaye make history by being one of the few artists to have three or more Top 10 songs off Billboard’s Pop Singles chart peaking at #9 and one of the first to have three consecutive #1 hits on Billboard’s R&B Singles chart where it stayed for two weeks. Although not certified by the RIAA at that time, all three releases from the What’s Going On album gained Gold status by selling over a million copies in the United States. The final minute of the song (and of the album) is a reprise to the theme of “What’s Going On”, the album’s first song. Buying a new system, please help?

I live in Edmonton, and I like to build my own pc to get the performance I want, instead of buying from places like future shop or best buy. So since I am new to city, I asked a friend if there is this kind of online store nearby and got this website: www.ncix.com

I work as a 3d animator, so I will be using the pc mostly for this, and some games, and movies.

Currently I have chosen these parts (from the website):

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Dual Core Processor

Samsung 215TW 21IN LCD

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA2 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache NCQ Hard Drive

I couldn’t really figure out what to choose for the motherboard, memory, cpu cooler, video card, dvd writer, case, speakers?

If anyone can give me some recommendations by making a list for the above parts, I would really appreciate it. Money no object as long as it’s not extreme, like quad core cpus.

I work for a city recreation department. This means I work for an after-school program at a public elementary school. The population is in a mixed community, Hindus, Muslims, Chinese, and whites. Anyway, I want to evangelize the children do you think it is wise to do so in a city affiliated job? I also feel like the parents would get mad if I passed out Christian tracts to the kids or pencils with the salvation message on it. But on the other hand, I feel that God is going to hold me accountable for never telling these kids about God. What would you do in my position? If not straight out evangelism, how would I show them my Christian example? By wearing a WWJD bracelet or something? It’s sad when in America you feel that you will be persecuted for doing such good intentioned works.

Are hospitals that are affiliated with medical schools necessarily better than other hospitals?

Advice/help with a computer repair resulting in data loss at Circuit City…?

Took my fairly new HP laptop to Circuit City, to have it repaired (I had a defective LCD.) They took the laptop, no questions asked, nor details discussed, other than when the laptop would be ready. I did not back up my hardrive, under the assumption that it was unnecessary to do so, because I was simply getting my screen repaired. And yes, I have scolded myself enough for not doing so, but whats done is done. So, I get my laptop back about a month later (they said it would take 2 weeks; just goes to show the professionalism of Circuit Citys FireDog service), and to my surprise, my whole computer is erased. Everything. So, after I get home (Im infuriated) I take a look at the work order, that has a section and a place for a signature that states that the person understands that they’ve backed up their hardrive and CircuitCity and 3rd party affiliates have no responsibilty for it. Thing is, they didn’t have me sign that! I lost hundreds of dollars in music and programs. Any advice?
Sorry, let me clarify; they totally replaced the hard drive. Thanks for the help though!
The only thing I could get out of them was that the hard drive was defective, so they had to replace it, and thats why the screen was ruined. To be honest, it seems to me that Circuit City is responsible for not doing their job; thats why I was considering to propose to make an out-of-court settlement with them. I have all receipts from all iTunes purchases, which total about $450, not to mention about 200 in programs that were bought online. I mean honestly, is it just me, or is Circuit City responsible? They did not bring up an issue of backing up anything, whatsoever.

Hi I am promoting an affiliate link to a city in the US. A week ago my account was put on hold. On average, I post like 10-15 ads per day on different categories with 20-25% chances of being flagged down – although I am sure the category was proper and relevant.

What are the best ways to continue advertising on Craigslist? The account is phone-verified but I have no other phone now. I read somewhere on the net that if you are a frequent CL user, you stand a chance to be “put on hold” once in a while, after which your account is no longer active.
